Mabe Climate Action Group
Mabe Climate Action Group was formed in response to the climate emergency declared by Mabe Parish Council in March 2019. We disseminate information and support projects to reach our target of zero carbon emissions across our parish by 2030. Groups, clubs and individuals throughout the parish are making their own attempts to mitigate climate change. From bulb planting to switching to renewables everyone has a part to play.
You can see some of our projects below. Get in touch to join in or let us know what you are doing to help. It will add to our parish profile.
Bloomin' Mabe is our community food growing group for all residents of Mabe Parish, including our native wildlife. We have begun to plant insect-friendly flowers and bulbs as well as edible shrubs around the parish. Click on our logo above to join us on Facebook or contact us via the parish clerk: [email protected]
In order to encourage everyone to take steps which can really make a difference, we are supporting the 10 Pledges, developed in Cornwall by Climate Vision and passed unanimously by Mabe Parish Council. Share them, copy them, talk about them and tell us how you have got on. Mabe Matters, our community newsletter, is currently featuring two pledges each edition.
